I was watching CNBC around 1:30 local time this afternoon when all of a sudden things started slipping, and slipping, and slipping! I happened to be on the phone with one of my friends also involved in the market during those exact 15 minutes the market glitched and things fell off the cliff. We just kept relaying the number back and forth as the market fell...400...500...600...700...Is there bottom...800...900..almost 1000?!?!?! Thankfully it didn't stay there. But it was definitely an interesting roller coaster ride and it felt like I had ran a marathon in 30 mins.
Tidbits by Thomas: I once quoted from House and said, "Life is a series of doors." In light of the new tires I needed to buy fro my Honda, "Life is only a series of wheels." (The last time I took in my car to get the oil changed at the Honda shop, they said I would need tired in like 2,000 miles. Well, I went those 2,000 and about 2,000 past that, so we knew it was coming. Last week, when I was coming home I heard an unusual humming noise. When I got home I saw one of my tires was low and the next morning it was flat, so it was as good of a time as ever to get those new tires. So now I have 55,000 new miles to go!)
